Since graduating in 2009, I have worked solely in education. My first role was at Havant Sixth Form College where I worked as a Marketing and Schools Liaison Assistant for almost two years. From Havant I moved on to work at Guildford College Group in a Schools Liaison role for a further 14 months. These roles allowed me many opportunities to work with young people in local secondary schools, providing information and guidance regarding their future educational pathways. In February 2013, I accepted a job at the University of Surrey working in the Department of Widening Participation and Outreach. Once again I was lucky enough to work with children of all ages; both primary and secondary, creating and delivering aspiration and attainment raising activities and events both on and off campus.
In December 2014 I had my first child; Chloe. We did (and still do) many classes together including Baby Sensory. It was clear from the first session how much Chloe enjoyed and benefited from the classes both socially and developmentally, and we soon looked forward each week to the class; wondering with anticipation what wonderful activities the babies (and parents!) would get to enjoy! We made a lovely group of friends and each week we would go for coffee or lunch after class.
When the time came to start thinking about going back to work, I began wondering about a change of career, something that could work flexibly around family life yet provide a new challenge! Having always worked with children, I knew that my career change would have to involve working with children in some capacity. When a friend alerted me to the franchise opportunity with Baby Sensory, I knew I had to find out more. The desire to provide other mums and babies with the wonderful experience that Chloe and I had at Baby Sensory classes was overwhelming and I knew it was meant to be!
Should you choose to sign up for Baby Sensory Classes, you can be sure that you’ll leave with a smile on your face and wondering what’s in store for your little one next week!
Please do get in contact if you have any queries.
I look forward to meeting you.
